I am the illustrator responsible for all work on this site.

Who are you?
Online, I go by the name Poj.  I am an artist, illustrator, and writer whose latest fascination is the world of independent comics.  My background is fine arts and art history, but since graduating from U of Oregon's art program in 2008 I have become increasingly more interested in digital art.  Most of the work now featured on this site was digitally made.  Nevertheless, I still consider myself somewhat of a craftsperson.  I have dabbled in many media including welding, fine metalworking, plaster mold-making, oil painting, acrylic painting, and a variety of dry media.  Although I am becoming increasingly more formidable at digital drawing and painting, my forte is still the fine point pen and paper.

My most recent piece of published work is a comic I wrote and illustrated for Gothology - Misery Loves Company.  Additionally, I am very active online (where communities generally know me as Poj, hence the moniker).  I currently participate in an ongoing online comic tournament called War for Arcadia.  In addition, I host "Secret Santa" style art exchanges via my deviantART site every month or so.  In addition to my regular work, I generally have my fingers in several other projects including freelancing, web design, and online tournaments/contests.  I used to update a running web comic called Dorm Adventures, and I am the author of cardboardthings.com.

The gray-haired gentleman and the blonde with pigtails who make numerous appearances on this site are my own original charactersFresia Albacore and Ted Helix, whom I often use as models whenever I practice new styles and techniques.  They are part of the ongoing lore of War for Arcadia.

I hope you enjoy browsing my site!
